Voting for Christmas 2021 and January 2022 Meetups Dates

It’s time to pick the dates for the Christmas and January Trottinghamshire Bronies meetups. This poll will close on the 23rd of November at midnight. Like the last time around there is also the optional question to pick dates that you don’t want to have the meetup on, to be used in case of a tie break between days.

Christmas Meetup

The plan for the Christmas meetup is to start at the Right Lion (the one closest to Burger King) that is at the front of the Nottingham City Council building in the Old Market Square at 12 Noon, and then at about 12:20 PM heading off to look around the Nottingham Christmas Market.

The market will be located along Long Row and Smithy Row offering a chance for some Christmas shopping. The market sells gifts and crafts, as well as there being speciality food stalls at the the market, if people want to have a bite to eat before going to the Dice Cup. If the Food Stalls are not to your taste there are plenty of fast food outlets around the Old Market Square, to get other food from.

After spending time at the market, we then plan to meet back at the Right Lion about 1:30 PM, before heading off at 1:45 PM to the Dice Cup.

The Dice Cup

The Dice Cup on Google Maps

The Dice Cup has adequate table space for the people who enjoy playing card games during these meets, such as TSSSF and MLP CCG. We may also be running a game of Tails of Equestria, a Pen and Paper RPG, at the meetup if we have the time to. It costs to £1.50 enter for the full day if you bring your own board games/card games.

If you feel like playing something different, there is also a selection other games which can be played at the dice cup. A list with all their games can be found on their, website under the Games Library section.

If playing tabletop games is not your thing, there will be plenty of people who you can just hang out and socialise with.

January Meetup

The plan for the January meetup is to start at the Costa Coffee in the entrance hall of Nottingham Train Station at 12:30 PM. Then at 12:45 PM we will head over to The Johnson Arms via the Toton Lane tram (Getting off at Gregory Street) hopefully getting to the pub for 1 PM.

If playing tabletop games is not your thing, there will be plenty of people who you can just hang out and socialise with. If the group wants to, and weather permitting, there’s also the option to have the meetup in the large beer garden out the back.

Voting for February/March 2021 Meetup (Virtual) Date 🗳️.

It’s time to pick the date for the second Virtual Trottinghamshire Meetup this year. This poll will close on the 7th of February at midnight. Like the last time around there is also the optional question to pick dates that you don’t want to have the meetup on, to be used in case of a tie break between days.

On a related note, our January Meetup this month had about 5 people on the call over the course of the meetup. For most of the meetup the group were chatting about computer hardwareinternet memestechnology, and projects people have been working on. There was also talk about playing Twilight Sparkle’s Secret Shipfic Folder at the next meetup using Tabletop Simulator.

The plan for the next meetup

The plan for the next meetup is to run a Virtual Meetup as an audio/video call in our Trottinghamshire Bronies Discord Server within the Trottingham🔈 channel, between 12:30 pm and 5:30 pm (-ish).

If there are enough people interested in Twilight Sparkle’s Secret Shipfic Folder, or other online games, we will use one of the three extra breakout channels (Canterlot🔈,Ponyville🔈,Cloudsdale🔈) to help coordinate playing them.

Voting for September/October 2020 Meetup (Virtual) Date 🗳️.

Voting for Sep Oct 2020 Virtual Meetup Date (fb)

It’s time to pick the date for the next Virtual Trottinghamshire Meetup. This poll will close on the 6th of September at Midnight. Like last time around there is also the optional question to pick dates that you don’t want to have the meetup on, to be used in case of a tie break between days.

Our August Meetup this month had about 7 people on the call. Most of the meetup was spent re-watching the first two and a half seasons of RWBY, and the rest of the time was spent catching up with other members of the group. On a related note, if there are any shows that people want to watch together at the next virtual meetup, feel free to make a suggestion on the Facebook group or Trottinghamshire Bronies Discord Group.

While the pubs have technically opened, I still do not think it is safe or feasible to have a meetup in real life yet. Because of this the plan for the next meetup is to run another Virtual Meetup by having an audio call going on in our Trottinghamshire Bronies Discord Server, between 12:30 pm and 5:30 pm (-ish), and keep the overall schedule as light as possible. This way people can decide what they want to do on the day.

So we can run the Virtual Meetup, we have four Audio Channels under the Virtual Meetup channel group in the Trottinghamshire Bronies Discord Server to help coordinate playing games online and socialising (Canterlot🔈, Ponyville🔈,Cloudsdale🔈, and Trottingham🔈).

Voting for August 2020 Meetup (Virtual) Date 🗳️.

It’s time to pick the date for the August Virtual Trottinghamshire Meetup. This poll will close on the 26th of July at Midnight. Like last time around there is also the optional question to pick dates that you don’t want to have the meetup on, to be used in case of a tie break between days.

Our July Meetup this month had about 7 people on the call, and most of the time was spent socialising and catching up with people. The rest of the time was spent playing a whole bunch of Jackbox games as a group.

While the pubs have technically opened, I still do not think it is safe to have a meetup in real life yet. Because of this, the plan for August’s meetup is to run another Virtual Meetup by having an audio call going on in our Trottinghamshire Bronies Discord Server, between 12:30 pm and 5:30 pm (-ish), and keep the overall schedule as light as possible. This way people can decide what they want to do on the day.

🗳️ Voting on the date for Trottinghamshire Bronies June [Virtual] Meetup (2020).

It’s time to pick the date for the June Virtual 2020 Trottinghamshire Meetup. This poll will close on the 24th of May at Midnight. Like last time around there is also the optional question to pick dates that you don’t want to have the meetup on, to be used in case of a tie break between days.

Our May Meetup this month had about 10 people on the call, and most of the time was spent playing [Twilight Sparkle’s Secret Shipfic Folder], Cards Against Equestria (both via Tabletop Simulator) and Jackbox. The rest of the time was spent socialising and catching up with people.

The plan for June’s meetup is to run another Virtual Meetup by having an audio call going on in our Trottinghamshire Bronies Discord Server, between 12:30 pm and 5:30 pm (-ish), and keep the overall schedule as light as possible. This way people can decide what they want to do on the on the day. 🗳️ Voting for the date of Trottinghamshire Bronies May [Virtual] Meetup (2020).

It’s time to pick the date for the May Trottinghamshire Virtual Meetup. This time around there is also the optional question to pick dates that you don’t want to have the meetup on. This poll will close on the 3rd of May at Midnight.

Our last meetup in April was rather successful, with about 6 people on call for a total of over 14 hours. Some of the time was spent playing Pony Town, Jackbox, Cards Against Equestria. The rest of the time was spent just catching up, and watching pony videos (or just random videos from the internet).

Because of this, the plan is to run another Virtual Meetup in
May by having an audio call in our Trottinghamshire Bronies
Discord Server
, between 12 pm and 5 pm (-ish), and keep the overall schedule as light as possible. This way people can decide what they want to do it on the day. So we can run the Virtual Meetup, Audio Channels have now been added to in the Trottinghamshire Bronies Discord Server to help coordinate playing games online and socialising (Canterlot🔈, Ponyville🔈,Cloudsdale🔈, and
Trottingham🔈).

🗳️ Voting for the date of the April 2020 Trottinghamshire Bronies Meetup.

It’s time to pick the date for the April 2020 Trottinghamshire
Meetup
. This poll will close on the 16th of March at Midnight.

The April’s meetup date is being voted on ahead of the March’s meetup, as to give people who need more than a month notice of when the next meetup is going to be, more of a chance of making it to the meetup. This will also help anyone who is traveling from outside of Nottinghamshire, as it should make it easier to plan travel arrangements.

However, in order to choose the April meetup date this month I will be excluding Sundays from the poll. The reason for this that I’m attending an event in April that I know is going to be on a Sunday. However said event is in the planning stages, and I do not know which Sunday it is going to be. So as we don’t hold meetups on Sunday that often I have decided to not include Sundays this time round, rather than delay the voting.

The plan for the next Trottinghamshire meetup

The Meetup will start at 11:15 AM in the Costa Coffee within the entrance hall of Nottingham Train Station at 11:15 AM. Then, at 11:45 we will head over to The Johnston Arms via the Toton Lane tram (Getting off at Gregory Street), hopefully getting to the pub for 12 PM.

The Johnston Arms has adequate table space for the people who
enjoy playing card games during these meets, such as TSSSF and MLP CCG. If Pen and Paper RPGs are more of your thing, we will most likely be running a game of Tails of Equestria at the meetup if we have the time to.

If playing tabletop games is not your thing there will be plenty of
people who you can just hang out with and socialise. If the group wants to and the weather is good outside, we can decide to have the meetup in the large beer garden out the back.

🗳️ Voting for the date of the March 2020 Trottinghamshire Bronies Meetup.

It’s time to pick the date for the March 2020 Trottinghamshire
Meetup
. This poll will close on the 9th of Feb at Midnight.

The voting for March’s meetup date is being posted early, ahead of Febuary’s meetup, as to give people just under a months notice of when the next meetup is going to be. This will hopefully help people
traveling from outside of Nottinghamshire, or people need more notice of the meetup date.

The plan for the next Trottinghamshire meetup: start at 11:15 AM in the Costa Coffee within the entrance hall of Nottingham Train Station at 11:15 AM. Then, at 11:45 we will head over to

🗳️ Voting for the date of the first Trottinghamshire Bronies Meetup in 2020.

It’s time to pick the date for the first Trottinghamshire Meetup of the year. This poll will close on the 11th of January at Midnight.

The posting for the voting for the first meetup date of the year has been delayed, due to me moving into a new house. Because of this, I have only now managed to find the time to start organizing this year’s first Trottinghamshie meetup. Because of how late I started planing this meetup, have included January and February, as there would only be two weekends in January to pick from otherwise.

The plan for the next Trottinghamshire meetup: start at 11:15
AM
in the Costa Coffee within entrance hall of Nottingham
Train Station
at 11:15 AM. Then, at 11:45 we will head over to

🗳️ Voting for November/December Trottinghamshire Bronies Meetup Date

It’s time to pick the dates for the November and December’s Trottinghamshire Meetups. This poll will close on the 1st of November at Midnight.

There has been a month hiatus since the last meetup (unless you count the UKPC Pre/After Meets), and while Generation 4 of My Little Pony has finished, the Trottinghamshire Bronies are not going to stop doing meetups anytime soon.

The plan for the next Trottinghamshire meetup: it will start at 11:15 AM in the Costa Coffee within the entrance hall of Nottingham Train Station at 11:15 AM.

Then, at 11:45 we will head over to The Johnston Arms via the Toton Lane tram (Getting off at Gregory Street), hopefully getting to the pub for 1 PM.

The Johnston Arms has adequate table space for the people who enjoy playing card games during these meets, such as TSSSF and MLP CCG. If Pen and Paper RPGs are more of your thing, we will most likely be running a game of Tails of Equestria at the meetup if we have the time, too.
