Poll For Next Meetup Date (Early For Once)

I have decided to release the poll for the next meetup early for once, to give people some more time to plan for the next the meetup. This poll will close on the 9th of October at 01:00. this should give people plenty of time to get their vote in.   

This time around, the plan is to hang around at the [ALT] Gaming Lounge, to catch up with members of the group, and play games. The ALT bar serves delicious food and drinks and they have been accommodating enough to treat us most excellently during our meet-up events, so if you can, please do buy things at the bar.  

Once the poll is closed, the meet date will be decided based on which day is most popular. If the most popular date is one of the November dates, we will be hosting both the November meet and whatever the runner up in October is. This is because there is only two weekends that the Trottinghamshire Event organisers can run a October meetup.

30th Of September Meetup

The Poll for the next Meetup is now closed. The 30th of September was the winning date by a large margin. This should also give people plenty of time to plan for this meetup. 

This time round the plan is to meetup at 12 pm around the [ALT] Gaming Lounge, to catch up with members of the group (I’m sure some of us will have lots to talk about), and play games (including card games).

The ALT bar serves delicious food and drinks and they have been accommodating enough to treat us most excellently during our meet-up events, so if you can, please do buy things at the bar.

Poll For Date Of September Meetup

After this months hiatus due to most of the Trottinghamshire Admins being at BronyCon, it’s time to plan for next month’s meetup.    

This time round the plan is to hang around the [ALT] Gaming Lounge, to catch up with members of the group (I’m sure some of us will have lots to talk about), and play games (including card games).

The ALT bar serves delicious food and drinks and they have been accommodating enough to treat us most excellently during our meet-up events, so if you can, please do buy things at the bar.

Fighting is Magic – Tribute Edition tournament

Following an email discussing the viability of holding a video game tournament for Fighting is Magic at the [ALT] Video Gaming Lounge, they have agreed that they would be open to hosting the event if we pay £30 for the rental of two computer stations for 2 – 3 hours. This is a whopping 58% discount. We plan to use one of the computer stations for the purpose of practise/exhibition matches and the second computer station for the ranked matches. 

However, in order to organise the event, the [ALT] Video Gaming Lounge does need to know the date of the event. Therefore, we are putting forward our poll a little bit earlier than before, to allow people time to declare their preferred date, so we can get back to [ALT] with a date. We will maintain contact throughout to offer complete transparency to the staff there.

To cover the cost of the computer station rental, I would like to propose a £2 charge for anyone who wishes to have their name added to the roster for the tournament. This means that if 15 people enter the event, we have paid off the computers. However, any surplus money will probably either go to a prize for the winner (Food/Drink) or, for funding the next event.

Please vote on the poll below this post your preferred date and whether you would be willing to pay a small charge to enter the tournament, before the 29th of May at 1:15 am. Your feedback is valuable to us.
