The 26th of November and the 17th of December (Christmas) (2023) Meetups Confirmation.

The dates for the November and Christmas meetups have been chosen, and the voting is now closed. We picked these dates because they are the most popular days and give people the most notice.

The November meetup will be on Sunday, the 26th of November. Unfortunately, the Playwright was not available for booking on the most preferred date of Sunday 10th of December, so the December meetup will be on Sunday, the 17th of December as that was the groups second choice.

I will post the details of these meetups in the event section of our website later.

Trottinghamshire October Meetup (29/10/2023) @ The Playwright Nº 38

The plan for the 29th of October meetup, is for it to start at The Playwright Nº 38 pub on Shakespeare Street in Nottingham. For the raw data and the reason for why this date was picked, head down to the bottom of this page. We booked the Poets Corner, the back room nearest from the pizza oven, between 12 PM and 6 PM. It has adequate table space for people to play cards and board games. Some of the games we have played in the past are:

TSSSF (Twilight Sparkles’ Secret Shipfic Folder)
Tails of Equestria (a Pen and Paper RPG)
MLP CCG at the meetup.
Uno (Including the Wild Card Version)

If playing tabletop games is not your thing, then there will be plenty of people at the meetup who you can hang out with and socialise. It is also close to the Victoria Shopping Center, so if anyone wants to do some shopping during the meetup, you won’t have far to go.

UK Pony Con (UKPC) 2023 After-Meet @ The Dice Cup.

Join us for the after-meet at the Dice Cup, a board game cafe just a short distance from the Nottingham Conference Centre. The after-meet is scheduled for October 1st, starting at approximately 7:30 PM and concluding at 10 PM. Please note that you can only order food until 8:30 PM. Also, while you’re welcome to come beforehand, please be aware that a table is not guaranteed to be available.

At the Dice Cup, there is adequate table space for card games, some of which we have played in the past:

Tails of Equestria (a Pen and Paper RPG).

Plans for May and June Meetup

The plan for the next two meetups is to start at the Playwright 38 pub on Shakespeare Street in Nottingham.

We will try to book the Poets Corner, the backroom far from the pizza oven, between 12 PM and 6 PM. This is not always possible, so checking the event listing when it is posted later is best.

It has adequate table space for people who enjoy playing card games. Some of the games we have played in the past are:

However, we don’t just play card games. We have TV access and sometimes play games like JackBox Party Pack or retro computer games.

However, if you would like to hang out and socialise, there will be plenty of people at the meetup to do just that.

Playwright 38 is also close to the Victoria Shopping Centre, so if anyone wants to do some shopping during the meet, you won’t have far to go.
