The plan for the 15th of June meetup is to have a table at The Dice Cup, on Mansfield Road (which is a 2-minute walk from Nottingham Victoria Bus Station) between 1 PM and 6 PM.
It’s £6 pounds to play the Dice Cup games, or £3 pounds if you are not going to play any of the Dice Cup’s games. There will be people at the meetup with their own games, so it should not be a problem if you don’t want to play the Dice Cup’s games (or any games). It has adequate table space for people to play cards and board games. Some of the games we have played in the past are:
- TSSSF (Twilight Sparkles’ Secret Shipfic Folder)
- Tails of Equestria (a Pen and Paper RPG)
- MLP CCG at the meetup.
- Uno (Including the Wild Card Version)
If playing tabletop games is not your thing, then there will be plenty of people at the meetup who you can hang out with and socialise. As mentioned, It is also close to the Victoria Shopping Centre, so if anyone wants to do some shopping during the meetup, you won’t have far to go.
Please be aware that the Dice Cup has restricted snack menu options due to its Vegan policy. If you require your own food, you will not be allowed to eat/drink it on-site. This is one of the reasons we have a pre-meet.
This time around, we will also be having a pre-meet at the far end of Victoria Shopping Centre, starting at the Emett Clock on the second floor, at 12 PM to go around the Victoria Centre for both shopping and eating. The clock is next to the Mankind shop near the shopping centre’s entrance nearest to car park [Click here for said entrance on google maps]
To see why this date was chosen, see the blog post on these results for the 26th of May Meetup voting.

The plan for the 28th of April meetup differs from the last one. This is because the playwright has started taking deposits if we want to book in advance. Unfortunately, the amount requested was far too excessive. This is why for all foreseeable meetups, we will be having the meetups at The Dice Cup.

As far as the plan for the main meetup, we have booked a table at The Dice Cup cafe on Mansfield Road, a 2-minute walk from Nottingham Victoria Bus Station between 12 PM and 6 PM. It’s 6£ pounds to play the Dice Cup games, or 2£ pounds if you are not going to play any of the Dice Cup’s games. Join us for the after-meet at the Dice Cup, a board game cafe just a short distance from the Nottingham Conference Centre. The after-meet is scheduled for October 1st, starting at approximately 7:30 PM and concluding at 10 PM. Please note that you can only order food until 8:30 PM. Also, while you’re welcome to come beforehand, please be aware that a table is not guaranteed to be available.
At the Dice Cup, there is adequate table space for card games, some of which we have played in the past:
- TSSSF (Twilight Sparkles’ Secret Shipfic Folder).
- Tails of Equestria (a Pen and Paper RPG).
- MLP CCG.
- Uno (Including the Wild Card Version).
- Casting Shadows
If you don’t feel like playing board/card games, don’t worry! There will be plenty of people to socialise with and catch up with old and new friends after a busy weekend going around the convention.
We look forward to seeing you there!

The voting for the next Trottinghamshire Meetup is now closed. We have a booking at The Playwright Nº 38 and The Dice Cup for the 22nd of January. However, the plan for this meetup is slightly different from our typical meetup (See Below). To see the details behind why this date was the groups choice, see the blog post on the results of the January and February meetup poll.
Meetup agenda & Venues
The plan for the January Meetup is to meet at The Playwright Nº 38 at midday. Due to refurbishment, I could only book a table between 12:00 and 14:00. However, this should be enough time to have food (a Sunday dinner is one of the options) and drinks. Afterward, we head to The Dice Cup at 14:00, where I also have booked a table from 14:15 to at least 18:00.
The Dice Cup has adequate table space for people to play card and board games. Some of the games we have played in the past are:
- TSSSF (Twilight Sparkles’ Secret Shipfic Folder)
- Tails of Equestria (a Pen and Paper RPG)
- MLP CCG at the meetup.
- Uno (Including the Wild Card Version)
If playing tabletop games is not your thing, there will be plenty of people at the meetup with who you can hang out and socialise. There is an entry fee of 1£ to play your own card games and board games.
