Voting for September/October and November 2021 (IRL) Meetups

It’s time to pick dates for the  September/October, and November Trottinghamshire Bronies (IRL) meetups. This poll will close on the 12th of September at midnight. Like the last time around there is also the optional question to pick dates that you don’t want to have the meetup on, to be used in case of a tie break between days.

The Plan for the Upcoming Meetups

The plan for the next couple of meetups is to start at the Costa Coffee in the entrance hall of Nottingham Train Station at 12:15 PM. Then at 12:30 we will head over to The Johnson Arms via the Toton Lane tram (Getting off at Gregory Street) hopefully getting to the pub for 12:45 PM.

The Johnson Arms has adequate table space for the people who enjoy playing card games during these meets, such as TSSSF and MLP CCG. We may also be running a game of Tails of Equestria, a Pen and Paper RPG, at the meetup if we have the time.

If playing tabletop games is not your thing, there will be plenty of people with whom you can just hang out and socialise. If the group wants to, and weather permitting, there’s also the option to have the meetup in the large beer garden out the back.

Virtual and IRL Voting Results (July and August 2021)

Edit 2: The event page for August IRL Meetup can be found here.

Edit: The event page for July Virtual Meetup can be found here.

The voting for the dates of the July Virtual Meetup and August In Real Life meetup is now closed, and the dates have now been chosen. These dates were picked due to them being the most popular days, the least disliked days, and the days that give people the most notice.

The July Virtual Trottinghamshire Meetup will be held on the 17th of July, and the August in Real Life meetup will be on the 29th of August, as long lockdown restrictions are no longer in place.

If Lockdown does not lift by July 19th, there will just be another Virtual Meetup instead. However, if we do have an In Real Life meetup it will be at The Johnson arms (Location on google maps). We will start at the Nottingham train station, and make our way over to The Johnson arms via the tram as we did pre-lockdown.

More details for both meetups will be posted at a later date in the events section of the Trottinghamshire Bronies website.

I will update this blog post when said details are added.

Voting for the May/June 2021 Meetup (Virtual) Date

Voting for May/June 2021 Virtual Meetup Date

It’s time to pick the date for the next Virtual Trottinghamshire Meetup. This poll will close on the 9th of May at Midnight.
Like the last time around there is also the optional question to pick dates that you don’t want to have the meetup on, to be used in case of a tie break between days.

On a related note, our April Meetup this month had about 5 people on the call. Most of the meetup was spent watching the whole volume 8 of RWBY, while the rest of the meetup was spent chatting about:

  • Computer hardware
  • The Trottinghamshire Bronies post-lockdown plans for the Meetups.
  • And finally just catching up with other members of the group.

The plan for the next meetup is to run a Virtual Meetup as an audio/video call in our Trottinghamshire Bronies Discord Server within the Trottingham🔈 channel, between 12:30 pm and 5:30 pm (-ish), and keep the overall schedule as light as possible.

This way people can decide what they want to do on the day. People can even use the three extra breakout channels (Canterlot🔈,Ponyville🔈,Cloudsdale🔈) to help coordinate playing games online, and do other stuff like watching MLP:FIM or other TV shows.

Voting for August 2020 Meetup (Virtual) Date 🗳️.

It’s time to pick the date for the August Virtual Trottinghamshire Meetup. This poll will close on the 26th of July at Midnight. Like last time around there is also the optional question to pick dates that you don’t want to have the meetup on, to be used in case of a tie break between days.

Our July Meetup this month had about 7 people on the call, and most of the time was spent socialising and catching up with people. The rest of the time was spent playing a whole bunch of Jackbox games as a group.

While the pubs have technically opened, I still do not think it is safe to have a meetup in real life yet. Because of this, the plan for August’s meetup is to run another Virtual Meetup by having an audio call going on in our Trottinghamshire Bronies Discord Server, between 12:30 pm and 5:30 pm (-ish), and keep the overall schedule as light as possible. This way people can decide what they want to do on the day.

So we can run the Virtual Meetup, we have four Audio Channels under the Virtual Meetup channel group in the Trottinghamshire Bronies Discord Server to help coordinate playing games online and socialising (Canterlot🔈, Ponyville🔈,Cloudsdale🔈, and Trottingham🔈).

Choosing the Virtual Meetup’s Date for July 2020 🗳️.

It’s time to pick the date for the July Virtual Trottinghamshire Meetup. This poll will close on the 21st of June at Midnight. Like last time around there is also the optional question to pick dates that you don’t want to have the meetup on, to be used in case of a tie break between days.

Our June Meetup this month had about 6 people on the call, and most of the time was spent socialising and catching up with people. The rest of the time was spent playing hide and seek in Pony Town, and playing Jackbox games as a group.

The plan for July’s meetup is to run another Virtual Meetup by having an audio call going on in our Trottinghamshire Bronies Discord Server, between 12:30 pm and 5:30 pm (-ish), and keep the overall schedule as light as possible. This way people can decide what they want to do on the day. So we can run the Virtual Meetup, Audio Channels have now been added to in the Trottinghamshire Bronies Discord Server to help coordinate playing games online and socialising (Canterlot🔈, Ponyville🔈,Cloudsdale🔈, and Trottingham🔈).

Voting for June/July’s Trottinghamshire Meetup dates

It’s time to pick the dates for the June and July’s Trottinghamshire Meetups. This poll will close on the 2nd of June at Midnight. We are voting for the next two meetup dates at the same time because there is about 2 months until BronyCon and it will make it difficult to plan July’s Trottinghamshire Meetup.

As for the next Trottinghamshire meetup, it will start at the Costa Coffee in the entrance hall of Nottingham Train Station at 12:00 PM. Then, at 12:30 we will head over to The Johnston Arms via the Toton Lane tram (Getting off at Gregory Street), hopefully getting to the pub for 1 PM.

The Johnston Arms has adequate table space for the people who enjoy playing card games during these meets, such as TSSSF and MLP CCG. If Pen and Paper RPGs are more of your thing, we will most likely be running a game of Tails of Equestria at the meetup if we have the time too.

If playing table top games is not your thing there will be plenty of people who you can just hang out with and socialise. If the group wants to and the weather is good outside, we can decide to have the meetup in the large beer garden out the back.

Voting for March’s Meetup Venue due to Booking Issues

After trying to book the most popular dates from the last meetup poll (2nd March and 23rd March) I was told by the Orange Tree that they are booked up for the whole of March. Because of this we now need to pick a new venue. This venue depending on future availability of the Orange Tree, could be the venue we have our meetups at from now on.

While we are waiting for the dust to settle, and for us to have a more consistent venue, we will be starting meetups (including the March meetup) at The Arboretum Cafe at 12 pm then moving to the venue chosen in the poll below after 1 pm.

This poll will close on 18th of February at Midnight. Please pick all the venues that you are OK with us having as a meetup venue, as depending on how the next meetup goes, the top 3 picked will be candidates for us to scout out. I’m yet to decide on which of the two dates from the last poll I’m going to pick, as this will depend on the availability at venue picked.

Poll for Next Trottinghamshire Meetup (Nov/Dec) Date

It’s been over a month since we had a Trottinghamshire Meetup, (Unless you count the UKPC Pre/After meetups) so not only will we be holding a poll to decide the date for next month meetup, but there is another poll to help choose the date we hold the Christmas Meetup which will help us book things in advance. These polls will close on the 28th of October at Midnight.

The plan for the next meetup is to hang around The Orange Tree pub on Shakespeare Street in Nottingham to eat and socialise with other members. The Orange Tree has adequate table space for the people who enjoy playing card games during these meets, such as TSSSF and MLP CCG. If Pen and Paper RPGs are more of your thing, we will also be running a game of Tails of Equestria at the meetup.

It is also very close to the Victoria Shopping Centre if anyone wants to do some shopping during the meet.

Poll For the Date Of The August/September Trottinghamshire Meetup

It’s time to plan for next month’s meetup. This poll will close on the 12th of August at Midnight

This time round the plan is to hang around The Orange Tree pub on Shakespeare Street in Nottingham and catch up with members. The Orange Tree has adequate table space for the people who enjoy playing card games during these meets, so people can play TSSSF, tails of Equestria (a Pen and Paper RPG), and MLP CCG at the meetup.

It is also close to the Victoria Shopping Centre, so if anyone wants to do some shopping during the meet, you won’t have far to go.

June Meetup Date and 5 Yr Anniversary event poll.

It’s time to plan for next month’s meetup. This poll will close on the 28th (Monday) of May at Midnight. This time around there are two questions as we approach our 5 Year Anniversary event on July 21st 2018, we need to decide what we will be doing for this occasion.

For this coming month’s meet up, we plan to book a space at the The Orange Tree pub on Shakespeare Street in Nottingham and catch up with members. As the 5 Year Anniversary is coming up within two months, and this is the first meetup after Griffish Isles, there will be plenty to talk about.

The Orange Tree has adequate table space for the people who enjoy playing card games during these meets, so people can play TSSSF and MLP CCG at the meetup.

It is also close to the Victoria Shopping Centre, so if anyone wants to do some shopping during the meet, you won’t have far to go.
