The 22nd of January and the 18th of February (2023) Meetups Confirmation.

The dates for the January and February meetups have been chosen, and the voting is now closed. We picked these dates because they are the most popular days and give people the most notice.

The January meetup will be on Sunday, the 22nd of January, and the February meetup will be on Saturday, the 18th of February. I will post the details of these meetups in the event section of our website at a later date.

Voting for January and February 2022 Meetups Dates.

It’s time to pick the dates for the January and February Trottinghamshire Bronies meetups. This poll will close on the 7th of January at midnight.

As it’s less than a week until the new year, so the voting will be done via the Trottinghamshire Bronies Telegram, Discord server, and Facebook page. This will make picking the meetup dates quicker than the website used for polls before.

If you can’t use any of these methods, please comment on this post with which one of these days you can make:

Plans for January and February Meetup

The plan for the next two meetups is to start at the Playwright 38 pub on Shakespeare Street in Nottingham. 

We will try to book the Poets Corner, the backroom far from the pizza oven, for between 12 PM and 6 PM. This is not always possible, so it’s best to check the event listing when it is posted later.

It has adequate table space for people who enjoy playing card games. Some of the games we have played in the past are:

  • TSSSF (Twilight Sparkles’ Secret Shipfic Folder)
  • Tails of Equestria (a Pen and Paper RPG)
  • MLP CCG at the meetup.
  • Uno (Including the Wild Card Version)

However, we don’t just play card games. We have TV access, and sometimes we play games like JackBox Party Pack or retro computer games. 

However, if you would like to hang out and socialise, There will be plenty of people at the meetup to do just that.

Playwright 38 is also close to the Victoria Shopping Centre, so if anyone wants to do some shopping during the meet, you won’t have far to go.

Trottinghamshire Christmas Meetup (11th of Dec 2022) @ Multiple Venues [Dunkin Donuts ➤ Christmas Market ➤ The Playwright Nº 38].

The voting for the next Trottinghamshire Meetup is now closed, and we have a confirmed booking at The Playwright Nº 38 for the 11th of December. However, the plan for this meetup is slightly different from our normal meetup (See Below). Meetup agenda & Venues

The plan for the Christmas Meetup is to start at 11:30 AM meeting up at the Christmas Tree next to the Dunkin Donuts inside the Exchange Arcade (See Map Below). Then at about 12:00 PM we will be heading off to look around the Nottingham Christmas Market.

The market will be located around the old market square (See Map Below), offering a chance for some last minute Christmas shopping. The market will have stalls selling gifts, crafts and food. For details on what’s to offer please check the Visit Nottinghamshire website.

After spending time at the market, we then plan head off to The Playwright Nº 38 at 1:45 PM, hopefully arriving there by 2:00 PM, and staying there until 6 PM.

We have a booking for 2 PM to 6 PM (but we do some times stay later than 6 PM). The The Playwright has adequate table space for people to play card and board games. Some of the games we have played in the past are:

December 10th (2022) Meetup Confirmation

The voting for the date of the December meetup is now closed, and the date has been chosen. The date was picked due to it being the most popular day, and the day that gives people the most notice.

The Christmas meetup will be held on the Saturday 10th of December. The details of this meetup, and the 20th November meetup will be posted in the event section of our website at a later date.

October 23rd & November 20th (2022) Meetups Confirmation / December Meetup Date Issues.

The voting for the dates of the next couple of upcoming meetups is now closed, and the dates have now been chosen. These dates were picked due to them being the most popular days, the least disliked days, and the days that give people the most notice.

However as pointed out by some of the Trottinghamshire Bronies members, because the plan for the Christmas meetup, is to go around Nottingham’s Christmas market Sundays are not feasible due to the shortened Public Transport times, and the meetup going on longer than normal due to needing at least two hours to go around the market.

Because of this, the December voting needs to be reopened at a later date.

As far as the October meetup is concerned this will be held on Sunday 23rd, and the November Meetup will be on Sunday 20th. The details for both of these meetups will be posted in the event section of our website at a later date.

UK Pony Con (UKPC) 2022 After-Meet @ The Playwright Nº 38

It doesn’t seem to be 5 minutes, since the last one but UK Pony Con (UKPC) is less than a month away.

I can now confirm that the venue for the UKPC after-meet is The Playwright Nº 38. We have the Hamlet Corner booked (the backroom that is not near the pizza oven) at The Playwright, for the Friday of the convention (9th of October), between 7:00 PM and when the pub closes. People are welcome to arrive at the pub before 7:00 PM, but we can not guarantee the room will not be available before 7:00 PM.

Less than 6 minutes from the Nottingham Conference Centre where the convention venue is, and we have a good relationship with the Playwright.

The Playwright has adequate table space for card games, even if people bring convention merch with them. Some of the games we have played in the past are:

Voting for October, November, and December 2022 Meetups Dates.

It’s time to pick the dates for the October,  November, and December Trottinghamshire Bronies meetups. This poll will close on the 2nd of October at midnight. Like the last time around there is also the optional question to pick dates that you don’t want to have the meetup on, to be used in case of a tie break between days.

Plan for October and November
