🗳️ Voting for November/December Trottinghamshire Bronies Meetup Date

It’s time to pick the dates for the November and December’s Trottinghamshire Meetups. This poll will close on the 1st of November at Midnight.

There has been a month hiatus since the last meetup (unless you count the UKPC Pre/After Meets), and while Generation 4 of My Little Pony has finished, the Trottinghamshire Bronies are not going to stop doing meetups anytime soon.

The plan for the next Trottinghamshire meetup: it will start at 11:15 AM in the Costa Coffee within the entrance hall of Nottingham Train Station at 11:15 AM.

Then, at 11:45 we will head over to The Johnston Arms via the Toton Lane tram (Getting off at Gregory Street), hopefully getting to the pub for 1 PM.

The Johnston Arms has adequate table space for the people who enjoy playing card games during these meets, such as TSSSF and MLP CCG. If Pen and Paper RPGs are more of your thing, we will most likely be running a game of Tails of Equestria at the meetup if we have the time, too.

If playing table top games is not your thing there will be plenty of people who you can just hang out with and socialise. If the group wants to and the weather is good outside, we can decide to have the meetup in the large beer garden out the back.

🗳️ Voting for August/September Trottinghamshire Bronies Meetup Date

Edit: Due to unforeseen circumstances, I wasn’t able to post a reminder for voting closing last night. Because of this I have reopened voting until 6pm tonight. This is so I can still contact The Johnston Arms later today (20/08/2019).

It’s time to pick the dates for the August/September Trottinghamshire Meetup. This poll will close on the 19th of August at 11:45 PM.

There has been a month hiatus since the last meetup, but hopefully having a meetup will help people get over the post-con blues. However, this time around the pre-meetup will start around 11:15 AM at Costa Coffee in the entrance hall of Nottingham Train Station Then, at 11:45 we will head over to The Johnston Arms via the Toton Lane tram (Getting off at Gregory Street), hopefully getting to the pub for 12 PM.


The reason the start time has been changed is that it will give people more time at The Johnston Arms, as our meetups there have felt shorter than the ones we had at our old venue.

Poll For the Date Of The August/September Trottinghamshire Meetup

It’s time to plan for next month’s meetup. This poll will close on the 12th of August at Midnight. 

This time round the plan is to hang around The Orange Tree pub on Shakespeare Street in Nottingham and catch up with members. The Orange Tree has adequate table space for the people who enjoy playing card games during these meets, so people can play TSSSF, tails of Equestria (a Pen and Paper RPG), and MLP CCG at the meetup.

It is also close to the Victoria Shopping Centre, so if anyone wants to do some shopping during the meet, you won’t have far to go.

Poll for the Next Trottingham Meetup and Anniversary Meetup Dates

There are two questions to vote on this time. The first one is the date of the next Trottinghamshire Meetup date. However there are two weekends I can not run a meetup, the weekend of the 21st and 22nd of April and 19th and 20th of May. To make up for this I have included the May bank holidays (7th May and 28th May).

However there is something else we need to vote on. The Anniversary Meetup Date.

The last poll had question about if we wanted to pick the date for the Anniversary Meetup early, and most of you said yes to doing that. So we will be doing a vote on 5th Anniversary Meetup date this time as well.

Quick reminder of poll next for meetup date and 5 Year Anniversary planing.

Just a quick reminder that the poll for next Trottinghamshie Meetup will close Today at Midnight (10th of March). Sorry it wasn’t published earlier, but as mentioned via various channels (Facebook/Discord,Telegram, etc) the heavy snow in Mansfield kind killed off my internet, but hopefully it hasn’t cause too much of inconvenience. 

This poll also includes a extra question about if we should pick the date for the 5 Year Anniversary Meetup earlier than June (We are planing on having the Anniversary in) to avoid the room at the Orange Tree from being booked when we need it.

Trottinghamshire Christmas meetup

This month’s Trottinghamshire Brony meet-up is hosted at The Orange Tree pub on Shakespeare Street in Nottingham.  After talking to them they said that the only day out of the two that were chosen that they could do was the 2nd of December. 

The meetup will start at our normal time of 12:00 pm and will be in the private room, so in order to help cover the £50 booking charge will cost a maximum of £5 per person, but this will be cheaper if more people come (Cost of meet = Booking fee / Attendees). Due to the fact that the side-room we originally wished to book was already taken, the meet-up will instead be taking place in their Disco Room, which should have enough space to host us all.

The Orange Tree also offers adequate table space for the people who enjoy playing card games during these meets. So people can still play TSSSF and MLP CCG at the meetup.

It is also close to the Victoria Shopping Centre, so if anyone wants to do some Christmas shopping during the meet, you won’t have far to look.

Trottinghamshire MLP Movie Meetup

We are happy to announce that there will be a Nottingham meetup for The My Little Pony Movie taking place on the 28th of October 2017. The plan is to meet outside the Broadway Cinema at 11:30 AM with plans to head inside to find seats at around 12:00 PM. This should give people enough time to arrive at the cinema and to get tickets and snacks.

After the movie, we will be heading to the Lloyds No. 1 Bar for food and drinks and a post-movie meet.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  • You are responsible for buying your own ticket. I would advise you all to buy a ticket online before coming to the meetup. Tickets can bought at this website. It is recommended that you do this well in advance to ensure you get the seat you want!
  • Please read this Equestria Daily movie theatre etiquette guide before attending. We do public meets all the time and I’m sure none of you will show us up, however to avoid being the stereotypical bunch of “those guys,” please humour us and give this a quick read. We want everyone attending to enjoy the movie, not just the members of the group.
  • We are meeting at outside the Broadway Cinema on the 28th of October 2017 at 11:30 AM (For the 12:30 PM viewing) and going inside at 12:00 PM.
