UK Pony Con (UKPC) 2024 After-Meet @ The Dice Cup

Join us for the after-meet at the Dice Cup, a board game cafe just a short distance from the UKPC venue. The after-meet is scheduled for October 6th, starting at approximately 7 PM and concluding at 10 PM. Also, while you’re welcome to come beforehand, please be aware that a table is not guaranteed to be available. Also note, it would be very helpful if you are certain that you are coming to the after-meet, for you to RSVP to this event by using the form below, as it could result in you being turned away because we weren’t able to book the correct a number of tables.

At the Dice Cup, there is adequate table space for card games, some of which we have played in the past:

  • TSSSF (Twilight Sparkles’ Secret Shipfic Folder).
  • Tails of Equestria (a Pen and Paper RPG).
  • MLP CCG.
  • Uno (Including the Wild Card Version).
  • Casting Shadows

If you don’t feel like playing board/card games, don’t worry! There will be plenty of people to socialise with and catch up with old and new friends after a busy weekend going around the convention.

We look forward to seeing you there!

UK Pony Con (UKPC) 2023 Pre-Meet @ The Playwright Nº 38.

It doesn’t seem to be 5 minutes since the last one, but UK Pony Con (UKPC) is now less than a month away.

It’s with great pleasure I can confirm the venue for the UKPC pre-meet is our friendly local pub, The Playwright Nº 38. We have the Poets Corner booked (the backroom that is near the pizza oven), for the Friday before the convention (29th of September). The venue will be open between 6:30 PM, and when the pub closes, at Midnight. Of course, people are welcome to arrive at the pub before 6:30 PM, however I can not guarantee the room will be available before then.

The Playwright is less than 6 minutes from the Nottingham Conference Centre where the convention is to be held.

The Playwright also has adequate table space for card games, some of which we have played in the past are:

  • TSSSF (Twilight Sparkles’ Secret Shipfic Folder)
  • Tails of Equestria (a Pen and Paper RPG)
  • MLP CCG at the meetup.
  • Uno (Including the Wild Card Version)

If you don’t feel like playing board/card games, don’t worry! There will be plenty of people to socialise with and catch up with old and new friends before a busy weekend going around the convention.

UK Pony Con (UKPC) 2021 After Meetup (10/10/2021)

Over the last couple of months, the Trottinghamshire Bronies attendees and I have been coming up with ideas for the UK Pony Con (UKPC) Pre/After Meetups.

While not a requirement, it would be helpful for people to RSVP on this event page for the Pre Meet/After Meet, as The Johnson Arms has asked for rough numbers. The Event page for the Pre Meetup can be found here.

UK Pony Con 2018 Pre/Breakfast/After Meets

As UK Pony Con is being held in Nottingham this year (on the Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th October 2018) I thought it would be good idea to hold Pre/After/Breakfast Meets for anyone going to the convention.

The plan for the Pre/After Meets  would be to meetup at The Orange Tree as this is less than 5 minutes from the Nottingham Conference Centre where the convention venue is, and we have a good relationship with them. They have in the past even made a special My Little Pony themed dessert for us.

However depending on the time we hold the pre/after meets, booking a room may involve a cost of about 5£ per person, . We need to know more details about UK Pony Con schedule before we know if there will be a cost a for sure, the but I would want to make sure people are ok with that first.

For the Breakfast Meet we will have to have a different venue as the The Orange Tree isn’t open until 12 pm. So most likely we will meetup at the Old Market Square next to the lions and find a starbucks or other coffee shop.

In order to work out if it is worthwhile for our group to hold Pre/After/Breakfast Meets, and help us work out the number of people that will turn up, we have a quick poll for people to fill in. This way I can give them a ball park figure of how many people are coming, and possibly book out one of the back rooms.
