It doesn’t seem to be 5 minutes, since the last one but UK Pony Con (UKPC) is less than a month away.
I can now confirm that the venue for the UKPC after-meet is The Playwright Nº 38. We have the Hamlet Corner booked (the backroom that is not near the pizza oven) at The Playwright, for the Friday of the convention (9th of October), between 7:00 PM and when the pub closes. People are welcome to arrive at the pub before 7:00 PM, but we can not guarantee the room will not be available before 7:00 PM.
Less than 6 minutes from the Nottingham Conference Centre where the convention venue is, and we have a good relationship with the Playwright.
The Playwright has adequate table space for card games, even if people bring convention merch with them. Some of the games we have played in the past are:
TSSSF (Twilight Sparkles’ Secret Shipfic Folder)
Tails of Equestria (a Pen and Paper RPG)
MLP CCG at the meetup.
Uno (Including the Wild Card Version)
If playing tabletop games is not your thing, there will be plenty of people who you can just hang out with and socialise.

It is also close to the Victoria Shopping Centre so if anyone wants to do some shopping during the meetup, you won’t have far to go. If playing tabletop games is not your thing, there will be plenty of people at the meetup with who you can just hang out and socialise.

In other news, there is going to be an RMT strike on Saturday, so traveling by car or bus is the best option. Trent Barton Bus Service’s online route finder and timetables can be found here: Trent Barton Route Finder.

I think it goes without saying, but it’s probably a good idea to bring a mask to go in the shops whilst wearing it, especially considering the new Omicron variant.
Meetup agenda & Venues
The plan for the Christmas meetup is to start next to the Christmas Tree outside the Dunkin Donuts inside the Exchange Arcade at 12 Noon, and then at about 12:30 PM heading off to look around the Nottingham Christmas Market.
The market will be located along Long Row and Smithy Row offering a chance for some Christmas shopping. The market will be stalls selling gifts and crafts. There will also be food stalls at the market if people want to have a bite to eat before going to the Dice Cup. If the Food Stalls are not to your taste there are plenty of fast food outlets around the Old Market Square, to get other food from.
After spending time at the market, we then plan to meet back at the Christmas tree about 1:30 PM, before heading off at 1:45 PM to the Dice Cup, hopefully arriving there by 2:15 PM.
The voting for the next Trottinghamshire Meetup is now closed and the date picked for the next virtual meetup is the 6th of June. This date was picked due to it being the most popular day, the least disliked day, and the day that gives people the most notice.
On a related note, our April Meetup this month had about 5 people on the call. Most of the meetup was spent watching the whole volume 8 of RWBY, while the rest of the meetup was spent chatting about:
Computer hardware
The Trottinghamshire Bronies post-lockdown plans for the Meetups.
And finally just catching up with other members of the group.
The plan for the next meetup
The plan for the next meetup is to run a Virtual Meetup as an audio/video call in our Trottinghamshire Bronies Discord Server within the Trottingham🔈 channel, between 12:30 pm and 5:30 pm (-ish), and keep the overall schedule as light as possible.
This way people can decide what they want to do on the day. People can even use the three extra breakout channels (Canterlot🔈,Ponyville🔈,Cloudsdale🔈) to help coordinate playing games online, and do other stuff like watching MLP:FIM or other TV shows.
