Voting for January and February 2022 Meetups Dates.

It’s time to pick the dates for the January and February Trottinghamshire Bronies meetups. This poll will close on the 7th of January at midnight.

As it’s less than a week until the new year, so the voting will be done via the Trottinghamshire Bronies Telegram, Discord server, and Facebook page. This will make picking the meetup dates quicker than the website used for polls before.

If you can’t use any of these methods, please comment on this post with which one of these days you can make:

Plans for January and February Meetup

The plan for the next two meetups is to start at the Playwright 38 pub on Shakespeare Street in Nottingham. 

We will try to book the Poets Corner, the backroom far from the pizza oven, for between 12 PM and 6 PM. This is not always possible, so it’s best to check the event listing when it is posted later.

It has adequate table space for people who enjoy playing card games. Some of the games we have played in the past are:

  • TSSSF (Twilight Sparkles’ Secret Shipfic Folder)
  • Tails of Equestria (a Pen and Paper RPG)
  • MLP CCG at the meetup.
  • Uno (Including the Wild Card Version)

However, we don’t just play card games. We have TV access, and sometimes we play games like JackBox Party Pack or retro computer games. 

However, if you would like to hang out and socialise, There will be plenty of people at the meetup to do just that.

Playwright 38 is also close to the Victoria Shopping Centre, so if anyone wants to do some shopping during the meet, you won’t have far to go.

How re-vote for Trottinghamshire Bronies December 2022 Meetups Date.

As mentioned in the blog post confirming the October and November events, we need to re-vote for December again.

Because December is a busy month for pubs and we need to decide quickly, I have chosen to do the voting in the Trottinghamshire Bronies Telegram, Discord server, and Facebook page. This will make picking the Christmas meetup date quicker, than the current website used for polls.

UK Pony Con (UKPC) 2022 Pre-Meet @ The Playwright Nº 38.

It doesn’t seem to be 5 minutes, since the last one but UK Pony Con (UKPC) is less than a month away.

I can now confirm that the venue for the UKPC pre-meet is The Playwright Nº 38. We have the Poets Corner booked (the backroom that is near the pizza oven) at The Playwright, for the Friday of the convention (7th of October), between 6:30 PM and when the pub closes at 12:00 AM. People are welcome to arrive at the pub before 6:30 PM, but we can not guarantee the room will not be available before 6:30 PM.

Less than 6 minutes from the Nottingham Conference Centre where the convention venue is, and we have a good relationship with the The Playwright.

The Playwright has adequate table space for card games. Some of the games we have played in the past are:

Voting for October, November, and December 2022 Meetups Dates.

Like the last time around there is also the optional question to pick dates that you don’t want to have the meetup on, to be used in case of a tie break between days.

August 20th / September 17th Meetups Announcement + UKPC Pre/After meets

The voting for the dates of the next couple of upcoming meetups is now closed, and the dates have now been chosen. These dates were picked due to them being the most popular days, the least disliked days, and the days that give people the most notice.

The August meetup will be held on the Saturday 20th, and the September Meetup will be on the Saturday 17th. The details for both of these meetups will be posted in the event section of our website at a later date.

Also thanks to those people that confirmed their interest in coming to the UKPC Pre Meetup or UKPC After Meetup, this will help with booking rooms at the Playwright, as I can let them know what numbers we expect to have turned up.

It’s time to pick the dates for the August and September Trottinghamshire Bronies meetups. This poll will close on the 7th of August at midnight. There is also an optional question to gauge interest in the Pre/After Meets for UKPC. This is so I can let the Playright know the sort of numbers to expect.

Trottinghamshire May Meetup (21/05/2022) @ The Playwright 38
