The voting for the next Trottinghamshire Meetup is now closed, and we have a confirmed booking at The Johnson Arms for the 16th of October. To see the details behind why this date was picked see the blog post on October and November 2021 Voting Results.
I think it goes without saying, but we do not have any problems with people wearing masks if it makes them feel safer attending the meetup. Especially considering the last couple of years we have had.
Meetup agenda & Venues
The meetup will start at the Costa Coffee in the entrance hall of Nottingham Train Station at 12:30 PM. Then at 12:45 we will head over to The Johnson Arms via the Toton Lane tram (Getting off at Gregory Street) hopefully getting to the pub for 1 PM.
The Johnson Arms has adequate table space for the people who enjoy playing card games during these meets, such as TSSSF and MLP CCG. We may also be running a game of Tails of Equestria, a Pen and Paper RPG, at the meetup if we have the time to.
If playing tabletop games is not your thing, there will be plenty of people who you can just hang out and socialise with. If the group wants to, and weather permitting, there’s also the option to have the meetup in the large beer garden out the back.

The voting for the next Trottinghamshire Meetup is now closed and the date picked for the next virtual meetup is the 17th of July. To see the details behind why this date was picked, as well as the date for the August the 29th IRL Meetup, see the blog post on July and August 2021 Voting Results
On a related note, our June Meetup this month had about 5 and 1/2 people (don’t ask) on the call. Most of the meetup was spent:
- Discussing the work we have done on our personal projects, like for example, PC Tower builds and Cosplay.
- Watching random videos on the Internet.
- Sharing our
.Gifs in chat.
- Talking about Trottinghamshire Bronies post-lockdown plans for the IRL Meetups.
- And finally just catching up with other members of the group.
The plan for the next meetup
The plan for the next meetup is to run a Virtual Meetup as an audio/video call in our Trottinghamshire Bronies Discord Server within the Trottingham🔈 channel, between 12:30 pm and 5:30 pm (-ish), and keep the overall schedule as light as possible.
This way people can decide what they want to do on the day. People can even use the three extra breakout channels (Canterlot🔈,Ponyville🔈,Cloudsdale🔈) to help coordinate playing games online, and do other stuff like watching MLP:FIM or other TV shows.

The voting for the next Trottinghamshire Meetup is now closed and the date picked for the next virtual meetup is 4th of October. This date
was picked due to it being the most popular day, the least disliked day, and the day that gives people the most notice.
Our August Meetup this month had about 7 people on the call. Most of the meetup was spent re-watching the first two and a half seasons of RWBY, and the rest of the time was spent catching up with other members of the group.
On a related note, if there are any shows that people want to watch together at the next virtual meetup, feel free to make a suggestion on the Facebook group or Trottinghamshire Bronies Discord Group.
The plan for the next meetup is to run another Virtual Meetup in October by having an audio call in our Trottinghamshire Bronies Discord Server, between 12:30 pm and 5:30 pm (-ish), and keep the
overall schedule as light as possible. This way people can decide what they want to do on the day.
So we can run the Virtual Meetup, Audio Channels have now been added to in the Trottinghamshire Bronies Discord Server to help coordinate playing games online and socialising
(Canterlot🔈, Ponyville🔈,Cloudsdale🔈, and Trottingham🔈).

Now that the dust has settled from the March’s meetup, it’s time to pick a date for the April’s Trottinghamshire Meetup. This poll will close on the 31st of March at Midnight.
We will also be picking the date for the May meetup, as there are a reduced number of weekends over the next two months which I can run meetups. This is due to the first weekend of April being so close, and Griffish Isles taking up one of the weekends in May (the weekend of the 11th).
The plan for the March meetup, like the last one, is to start in The Arboretum Cafe the at 12 pm, then after 30 minutes, head over to the main venue.
After trying to book the most popular dates from the last meetup poll (2nd March and 23rd March) I was told by the Orange Tree that they are booked up for the whole of March. Because of this we now need to pick a new venue. This venue depending on future availability of the Orange Tree, could be the venue we have our meetups at from now on.
While we are waiting for the dust to settle, and for us to have a more consistent venue, we will be starting meetups (including the March meetup) at The Arboretum Cafe at 12 pm then moving to the venue chosen in the poll below after 1 pm.
This poll will close on 18th of February at Midnight. Please pick all the venues that you are OK with us having as a meetup venue, as depending on how the next meetup goes, the top 3 picked will be candidates for us to scout out. I’m yet to decide on which of the two dates from the last poll I’m going to pick, as this will depend on the availability at venue picked.

Now that the dust has settled from this month’s meetup, it’s time to plan for next month’s Trottinghamshire Meetup.
This poll will close on the 11th of February at Midnight. We are also going to be voting on what other activities we want to do this year as it will make planning future meetups easier.
The plan for the March meetup is to hopefully hang around The Orange Tree pub on Shakespeare Street in Nottingham and catch up with members.
The Orange Tree has adequate table space for the people who enjoy playing table top games during these meets, so people can play TSSSF, tails of Equestria (a Pen and Paper RPG), and MLP CCG at the meetup.
It is also close to the Victoria Shopping Centre, so if anyone wants to do some shopping during the meet, you won’t have far to go.
It’s time to plan the first Trottinghamshire Meetup of the year. This time round we are going to be voting for the dates of the January and February meetups as it will make planning for future meetups easier. This poll will close on the 6th of January at Midnight.
This poll is closed. See below for results. Details of Meetup will be posted once The Orange Tree Confirms the dates picked are available.
The plan for the next meetup is to hang around The Orange Tree pub on Shakespeare Street in Nottingham and catch up with members. The Orange Tree has adequate table space for the people who enjoy playing card games during these meets, so people can play TSSSF, Tails of Equestria (a Pen and Paper RPG), and MLP CCG at the meetup.

Results of Poll
It’s been over a month since we had a Trottinghamshire Meetup, (Unless you count the UKPC Pre/After meetups) so not only will we be holding a poll to decide the date for next month meetup, but there is another poll to help choose the date we hold the Christmas Meetup which will help us book things in advance. These polls will close on the 28th of October at Midnight.
The plan for the next meetup is to hang around The Orange Tree pub on Shakespeare Street in Nottingham to eat and socialise with other members. The Orange Tree has adequate table space for the people who enjoy playing card games during these meets, such as TSSSF and MLP CCG. If Pen and Paper RPGs are more of your thing, we will also be running a game of Tails of Equestria at the meetup.
It is also very close to the Victoria Shopping Centre if anyone wants to do some shopping during the meet.

As UK Pony Con is being held in Nottingham this year (on the Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th October 2018) I thought it would be good idea to hold Pre/After/Breakfast Meets for anyone going to the convention.
The plan for the Pre/After Meets would be to meetup at The Orange Tree as this is less than 5 minutes from the Nottingham Conference Centre where the convention venue is, and we have a good relationship with them. They have in the past even made a special My Little Pony themed dessert for us.
However depending on the time we hold the pre/after meets, booking a room may involve a cost of about 5£ per person, . We need to know more details about UK Pony Con schedule before we know if there will be a cost a for sure, the but I would want to make sure people are ok with that first.
For the Breakfast Meet we will have to have a different venue as the The Orange Tree isn’t open until 12 pm. So most likely we will meetup at the Old Market Square next to the lions and find a starbucks or other coffee shop.
In order to work out if it is worthwhile for our group to hold Pre/After/Breakfast Meets, and help us work out the number of people that will turn up, we have a quick poll for people to fill in. This way I can give them a ball park figure of how many people are coming, and possibly book out one of the back rooms.
