The voting for the dates of the next couple of upcoming meetups is now closed, and the dates have now been chosen. These dates were picked due to them being the most popular days, the least disliked days, and the days that give people the most notice.

The June meetup will be held on the Saturday 25th, and the July Meetup will be on the Saturday 23rd. The details for both of these meetups will be posted in the event section of our website at a later date.

Voting for June and July 2022 Meetups Dates

It’s time to pick the dates for the June and July Trottinghamshire Bronies meetups. This poll will close on the 29th of May at midnight. Like the last time around there is also the optional question to pick dates that you don’t want to have the meetup on, to be used in case of a tie break between days.

Plan for June and July Meetups

The plan for the next two meetups is to start them at the Playwright 38 pub on Shakespeare Street in Nottingham. We will not be meeting up at the Train Station first like we normally do.

We will book the back room (just past the pizza oven), for between 12 PM to 6 PM. It has adequate table space for people who enjoy playing card games, so people can play TSSSF (Twilight Sparkles’ Secret Shipfic Folder), Tails of Equestria (a Pen and Paper RPG), and MLP CCG at the meetup.

It is also close to the Victoria Shopping Centre so if anyone wants to do some shopping during the meet, you won’t have far to go. If playing tabletop games is not your thing, there will be plenty of people at the meetup with who you can just hang out and socialise.

I think it goes without saying, but while you don’t need to bring a mask to wear at the meetup, no one at the meetup will have a problem with anyone wearing one.

Trottinghamshire February Meetup (19/02/2022) @ The Playwright 38

I think it goes without saying, but it’s probably a good idea to bring a mask to wear in the shops and for when moving about the pub, especially considering the new Omicron variant.

Voting for September/October and November 2021 (IRL) Meetups

It’s time to pick dates for the September/October, and November Trottinghamshire Bronies (IRL) meetups. This poll will close on the 12th of September at midnight. Like the last time around there is also the optional question to pick dates that you don’t want to have the meetup on, to be used in case of a tie break between days.

The Plan for the Upcoming Meetups

The plan for the next couple of meetups is to start at the Costa Coffee in the entrance hall of Nottingham Train Station at 12:15 PM. Then at 12:30 we will head over to The Johnson Arms via the Toton Lane tram (Getting off at Gregory Street) hopefully getting to the pub for 12:45 PM.

The Johnson Arms has adequate table space for the people who enjoy playing card games during these meets, such as TSSSF and MLP CCG. We may also be running a game of Tails of Equestria, a Pen and Paper RPG, at the meetup if we have the time.

If playing tabletop games is not your thing, there will be plenty of people with whom you can just hang out and socialise. If the group wants to, and weather permitting, there’s also the option to have the meetup in the large beer garden out the back.

On a related note, our June Meetup this month had about 5 and 1/2 people (don’t ask) on the call. Most of the meetup was spent:

Discussing the work we have done on our personal projects, like for example, PC Tower builds and Cosplay.
Watching random videos on the Internet.
Sharing our .Gifs in chat.
Talking about Trottinghamshire Bronies post-lockdown plans for the IRL Meetups.
And finally just catching up with other members of the group.

The plan for the next meetup

The plan for the next meetup is to run a Virtual Meetup as an audio/video call in our Trottinghamshire Bronies Discord Server within the Trottingham🔈 channel, between 12:30 pm and 5:30 pm (-ish), and keep the overall schedule as light as possible.

This way people can decide what they want to do on the day. People can even use the three extra breakout channels (Canterlot🔈,Ponyville🔈,Cloudsdale🔈) to help coordinate playing games online, and do other stuff like watching MLP:FIM or other TV shows.
